Aya Rifai, MD

Dr. Rifai graduated Medical School from the University of Aleppo in Syria. After moving to the United States, she took multiple qualifying exams to be able to work in the US as a Physician. She trained at the University of Arkansas in Little Rock and completed her residency training at William Beaumont Hospital Royal Oak in Internal Medicine. 

Dr. Rifai has been practicing as Physician PCP (Primary Care Physician) in the Oakland/Macomb counties since 2012. Many of her patients are from Rochester Hills, Troy, Sterling Heights, Bloomfield Hills as well as Shelby Township in addition to many other areas.  


Aya Rifai MD is a Medical Doctor certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She is also certified by the American Board of Obesity Medicine.  

Dr. Rifai is affiliated with William Beaumont Hospital-Royal Oak as well as William Beaumont Hospital-Troy. She is also affiliate with  Ascension Providence Rochester Hospital (formally Crittenton Hospital). She is mostly in an “office based” practice where she can provide her uninterrupted, utmost  & complete attention to the care of her patients

Throughout her years of practice, she assisted many patients with their chronic and acute medical problems. She has also helped many patients in reaching healthier weights, maintain their healthier weights, and feel better overall. 


 Dr. Rifai has been in the Troy area for a few years now and considers it home. 

She & her husband (Dr. Wael Refai) reside in the area with their three children. 

They share many family activities together in the Mitten State. 

In her free time, she enjoys local theaters and museums in the D.
